Since moving life back to London just over 4 weeks ago the days seem to have whizzed past in a slightly mental but totally wonderful, multi-coloured blur! Of course there wasn’t anything predictable or monotonous about travelling South America, but being a nomadic yoga teacher in the city is certainly proving to be an awesome adventure.
I’ve had to quickly get the hang of awkward tube journeys as I squeeze in amongst the suits with my oversized bag full of mats, constantly buzzing from meeting shiny new yogi friends and converting total yoga newbies into downward dog ninjas and dashing to yoga studios in between my own classes – because London is basically a yoga filled (all natural, sugar-free) candy shop stocked to the sky with inspiring teachers and dynamic studios. I can’t help but gorge myself on as many yoga classes as humanly possible.
Between all this I’m not always managing to fit in three proper, mindful, sit-down meals per day – instead grazing on bananas, apples and nuts on the tube like some furry creature escaped from Camden Zoo. When this happens I always make sure that the next meal I have is a mean green, veggie smoothie packed with ridiculous nutrition super-powers. This way I know I’m getting all the good stuff whilst rescuing my tummy from sporadicly digesting morsels of food here and there, and helping it out with a pint of easy peasy nutrients.
So this was my smoothie this morning and it’s done the job of lighting me up like Oxford Street at Christmas. Now I’m ready to do it all over again… afternoon class at triyoga… I’m coming at ya!
